This is a way to deepen democratic engagement through the participation of citizens in the process of governance with the state. This helps people/community to get better and wider knowledge about the do’s and don’ts in a constitution also people get to know their rights.
According to Jenny Stewart, Professor of Public Policy in the Dilemmas of Engagement. The role of Consultation in Governance, ‘Participatory governance’ denotes forms of governance in which non- governmental actors (usually citizens) are empowered to use the resources of the state to make decisions about matters that directly concern them.
Participatory governance helps citizens to exercise their voice and vote which results to implementation of public policies that produce some changes in the lives of citizens.
